An open mind to new ideas is 'fuel' for the advancement of science.

From our earliest steps, curiosity drives humankind. This eternal desire to know more and understand the world accompanies us throughout life. In some cases, this search for answers transforms into entire careers, capable of changing the world. Scientists, professors, and researchers were once curious children who kept their minds open to questioning and discovery. Thus, they help transform the world with a watchful eye. Professors Robert Ordóñez, from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; Thomas Lewinsohn, from the Institute of Biology; and Peter Schulz, from the Faculty of Applied Sciences, all from Unicamp, share their stories and reinforce their vocation to explore the universe of science by showcasing old toys or habits they carried from childhood to the present day.
