Comprising presentations of stage works alongside the thesis defense of Pamella Villanova, a doctoral candidate in the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts (PPGADC) at the Institute of Arts (IA), the presentations of the Theatre Festival 'DEFESTIVAL – Theatrical strategies to perceive the invisible: Plastic, garbage and other traces' take place from 11 to 16 March.
The stage works emerge directly from Villanova's research, provoking awareness of urgent and often overlooked themes in our daily lives: plastic, waste, the burning of fossil fuels, and the memories that keep a native forest standing in the midst of the city.
The performances are free and open to the community.
Pamella Villanova and Júlia Prudêncio, both from IA-Unicamp, have been responsible for the Physics Scientific Theater (TeFis) extension project since 2023, under the guidance of Professor Gabriela Castellano.
