    IEL celebrates 50 years with the inaugural lecture “Images of whiteness: the myth of racial democracy as language”

    The Institute of Language Studies (IELThe institution is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is beginning its academic year with the inaugural lecture 'Images of whiteness: the myth of racial democracy as language'. It will be given by anthropologist and historian Lilia Moritz Schwarcz, senior professor in the Department of Social Anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences (FFLCH) of the University of São Paulo (USP).

    The event is part of the calendar of celebrations for 60 years of Unicamp and it will take place on the March 9, at 10 am, at the Convention Center.

    The event is open to faculty, technical and administrative staff, undergraduate and graduate students, and the community. Certificates will be provided to participants.
